Our Mission
Project 27:17 is a ministry which aims to fulfill Jesus’s last words to us by going to make disciples of all nations.
We want to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ around the world. Our goal is help foster the development of disciples of Jesus Christ.

Mensforge
Focused on helping men become stronger leaders, husbands, and fathers so that they can change the world for Jesus.
The Forge is a global brotherhood of men focused on discipleship to inspire spiritual growth among men.
Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, was quite clear about what he wanted us to do. Matthew 28:19-20 says “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
The world does not need just lukewarm converts but men who are wholeheartedly following Jesus. There needs to be a process to grow to maturity.
Just as in the real world, we want babies to grow into toddlers. Toddlers to grow into adolescents. Adolescents to grow into teenagers. And lastly, teenagers to grow into adults.
This is the mission of the Forge to provide a process to grow recent converts into spiritually mature men.
Saddleback MX
A church extension of Saddleback Church in Mexico City
Saddleback Church started with two young church planters, a dream, and a map. God gave Pastor Rick and Kay Warren the dream to plant a church for people who didn’t like church, and he led them to Southern California.
In September 2022, we welcomed Pastor Andy Wood as our new lead pastor.
In May 2023, we took another step of faith by launching our first bilingual extension in Mexico City, under the leadership of Garland and Esther Wong.
As we step into the future, we believe God will do more than we could ever ask for or imagine. Our best days are ahead, and we can’t wait to see all the ways God will change lives in years to come!
Our Founder
Garland is a global serial entrepreneur who has co-founded companies on every major continent.
His third company, CommerceWAVE, was involved in building the first credit card payment system on the internet, where he returned 30x to his investors.
He is also a limited partner in Menlo Ventures and Global Internet Ventures and the CEO of Pago46, a fast-growing multinational Fin-Tech company.
Garland has been a Christian for over 50 years, and his desire is to hear God say well done, my good and faithful servant. Come enjoy your master's happiness.
